ABOUT THE RETREAT

This one-day retreat on 28 June is an invitation to step out of the pace of everyday life for an entire day. Drawing from Zen meditation and somatic practice, the retreat offers a structured space for stillness, presence, and connection.

Over eight hours—from morning through to late afternoon—we move through three sitting meditation sessions, two silent reflection periods, a shared lunch, a short guided somatic practice, and opening and closing circles. An optional Yoga Nidra session closes the day for those who wish to stay.

Rather than focusing on self-improvement, the day centres on presence, awareness, and direct experience. Silence and group reflection become ways of listening more deeply: to ourselves, to others, and to what is already here.

"No previous meditation experience is necessary. The retreat is open to anyone seeking greater presence, emotional clarity, or a moment of genuine stillness in the midst of ordinary life."

WHO IS THIS FOR

This day is for anyone who feels drawn to slowness, whether you have never meditated before or have been curious for years but never quite found the right moment to begin.

You do not need experience, a particular belief system, or any prior knowledge. You only need a willingness to show up, sit quietly, and see what arises.

The teachings offered throughout the day are clear, grounded, and practical.

If you have been feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or simply in need of a day that is genuinely your own, this retreat was made with you in mind.

RETREAT INCLUDES

• Three Zen-style sitting meditation sessions (45, 45, and 60 minutes)

• Guided somatic practice—movement, breath, and body awareness

• Two silent reflection periods, including optional one-to-one with the facilitator

• Opening and closing circles

• Guided silence throughout the day

• Shared lunch

• Optional Yoga Nidra session (17:00–17:45)
